We believe that together, we can all make a difference to improve the lives of the vulnerable.
Noah Mapalo Help Centre is a non-profit organisation registered in UK and Zambia, that was established out of compassion for the vulnerable communities in society in November, 2012.
“Noah”- derived from Noah’s Ark, symbolizes a safe haven for the people while “Mapalo”- a local dialect name implying blessings.
With support from both the UK and Zambian partners and volunteers, NMHC has since positively impacted over 800 individual households since its inception.
To help vulnerable families in society by encouraging people-driven empowerment through: health services, education, sustainable development and welfare; empowering families living in abject poverty in rural areas of Zambia, as while as promoting sense of belonging for people of Portsmouth

To establish social-economically empowered families and the youth through sustainable empowerment projects, health and well-being : menstrual hygiene, food and nutrition security as well as fostering economic opportunities through skills transfer that will create long lasting impacts for over 5,000 individual families by the year 2030 in Zambia. In addition, NMHC envisions contributing towards a safer interactive local community of Portsmouth in the UK, through our social events in order to reduce social isolation.
Our Passion
Noah Mapalo Help Centre continues to wage war against poverty with a view of uplifting the lives of the vulnerable families and children in Zambia and Africa at large. Our focus as a philanthropy is not only on providing for the needy in society with sustainable projects such as social economic and development empowerment and skills transfer, we also strive to facilitate safer ways of interactions to reduce isolation in Portsmouth, UK, by bringing people from several background together through our fundraising/non social events in order to promote diversity and sense of belonging.
